We love sharing the good work of our friends and colleagues. Please enjoy these great resources.
Open Path Collective is a network of therapists offering sessions from $30-$80 per session. You need not be an essential worker.
The Quell Foundation:
The Quell Foundation strives to reduce the number of suicides, overdoses and the incarceration of people with mental health illness. They also produce a fantastic podcast called, "Lift the Mask - Voices of Heroes in the Silent Pandemic", which provides frontline healthcare workers a space to openly share lived experiences and self-preservation techniques to manage the continued exposure to this global health crisis.
The Dr. Lorna Breen Heroes Foundation:
The Dr. Lorna Breen Heroes Foundation's mission is to reduce burnout of health care professionals and safeguard their well-being and job satisfaction. They envision a world where seeking mental health services is universally viewed as a sign of strength for health care professionals. They have two main bodies of work targeted at making a long-standing impact on this issue:
Building awareness of these issues to reduce the stigma; and
Funding research and programs that will reduce health care professional burnout and improve provider well-being.
Emotional PPE is a national network of volunteer therapists offering free therapy to healthcare professionals. They do not offer a set number of sessions donated - each of their volunteer therapists vary and set their own number of sessions.
Give an Hour (Hospital Heroes Program):
Give an Hour’s Hospital Heroes Program provides six hours of free, confidential, mental health support to all hospital-based essential employees in the states of NY, NJ, and CT as well as their loved ones. Hospital-based essential employees include both clinical personnel offering direct care to patients; as well as non-clinical, non-direct care hospital employees.
Caring for Caregivers:
